Unify

The word yoga is a sanskrit word meaning "to unify." Physical yoga implies the unification of movement & pose (asana), where the movement from asana to asana are linked by breathe. A good teacher will direct movement, breathe & asana so the thinking mind can turn off & connect you with your "true self." Your mat becomes a sacred space where a sacred journey takes place every time you step onto it. Your mat becomes a battleground where the false & true selves meet & where you begin to find truth.
